Condolences to the Vilagi Family
The National Bird Dog Museum and the field trial sport lost a great friend with the loss of Sigmond (Sig) E. Vilagi on August 14. Sig was well known in retriever circles. He was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Amateur Field Trial Club, an avid amateur trainer, and participated in field trials as a judge and handler from the late 1950s to 2016. Sig was inducted into the Retriever Hall of Fame here at the National Bird Dog Museum in 2003.
Sig was also a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy.
Sig passed away peacefully on August 14, at the age of 95. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vilagi family.
